Arnott’s launches new School Canteen logo

To help consumers make easier and more informed choices, Arnott’s has launched a new School Canteen logo on favourite kids’ products like Tiny Teddy.

Arnott’s Tiny Teddy now carries a new School Canteen logo, providing an ‘at-a-glance’ assurance that all products in the range meet the amber guidelines for the following Australian programs:

  • Fresh Tastes @ School – New South Wales Healthy School Canteen Strategy
  • Smart Choices – Healthy Food and Drink Supply Strategy for Queensland Schools
  • Go for your life – Victorian Healthy Canteen Program

According to the above programs, amber foods, like Tiny Teddy, can be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet but they should be selected carefully. They should not dominate the menu at the expense of healthier choices and only one serve a day, within the context of a healthy lifestyle and diet, is acceptable.

To earn the new logo, Arnott’s reformulated its Tiny Teddy range. Now, each 25g serve of Arnott’s Tiny Teddy provides less than 600kJ, less than 3g saturated fat and more than 1g fibre.
